When we mention the Red Sea in Egypt, our minds automatically goes to Sharm El Sheikh, the most beautiful city located in the southern of Sinai.
Sharm El Sheikh is the city of peace in the Red Sea and gave Egypt an international reputation as one of the world’s most extraordinary diving destinations.
Its beauty encourages people around the world to come and visit all its attractions.
The most powerful thing about Sharm El Sheikh is that you can visit more than one place each of them is more beautiful than the others and rarer, like the coral reefs in Ras Mohamed area which contains the rarest creatures in Egypt, there are also Tiran Island and Aqaba Coast.
Besides diving which is considered the main activity in Sharm El Sheikh, tourists also arrive to enjoy windsurfing, Para-sail, bicycle and exploring the fantastic desert of Sinai.
In 1980 Sharm El Sheikh witnessed lots of developments in the area, about 40 resorts and hotels were built, these expansions of courses bring many tourists to Egypt and also many problems in the region. But the last several years the city does lots of efforts to be protected from any danger and to protect also the fragile environment of this region.
The first step of these efforts belongs to the creation of Ras Mohammed National Park in 1983, and now about 52% of the Egyptian shoreline on the Gulf of Aqaba is protected.
Sharm El Sheikh will still always a landmark for everyone wants to visit Egypt and the Red Sea.
