Siwa Oasis | Western Desert

Egypt contains the most beautiful Oases in Africa, but none of them is as beautiful as Siwa Oasis.
Siwa Oasis is totally different, you will really feel the magic of everything in Siwa.
Siwa not exactly in the heart of Egypt but North African, most Siwans are Berbers, a people that once roamed the North African coast from Tunisia to Morocco.
At 10000 B.C Berbers were the true Western Desert indigenous people as they inhabited the area: as the land dried, they moved toward the coast.
When the Arab Invaded the area in the seventh century, the Berbers changed, but in the twelfth century, Bedouin, nomads appeared.
Because of this connection, the Siwan language, traditions, rites, dress, decorations, and tools are more closely aligned with the peoples of the Maghreb, the northern coast of Africa from Tripoli to Morocco.
Siwa was called Santariya by the Arabs, the Oasis of Jupiter-Amun, Marmaricus Hammon, and Field of Palm Trees.
At Ancient Egypt time little is known about Siwa, but no monuments or any evidence was found in Siwa during that time, Evidence that only exists from the Twenty-sixth Dynasty (663-525 B.C.) indicate that Siwa was a part of the Egyptian empire during that time.
