Schedule Details

Day 1

Upon arrival at Keflavík International Airport, begin your adventure with a scenic drive through the surreal lava fields of the Reykjanes Peninsula en route to Reykjavík. Optional: Make your first Icelandic memory with a rejuvenating dip at the Blue Lagoon, a world-famous geothermal spa nestled in a mossy lava field. Your visit can be arranged based on your flight schedule—if not today, it can easily be added on another day. After hotel check-in in Reykjavík, spend the rest of your day strolling the capital’s cozy streets. Discover the architectural marvel Harpa Concert Hall, the iconic Hallgrímskirkja Church, and the lively harbor area. Enjoy the midnight sun with a late walk or simply relax in preparation for the adventures ahead. Overnight in Reykjavík.

Day 2

Today, journey through the legendary Golden Circle, Iceland’s most celebrated sightseeing route. Begin at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Iceland’s parliament was born in 930 AD. This stunning rift valley straddles two tectonic plates—Europe and North America—visible in dramatic fissures like Silfra. Continue to Haukadalur geothermal area, where bubbling mud pots and steaming vents surround the famous Strokkur geyser, erupting impressively every few minutes. Finally, stand in awe before Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls, as it crashes into a deep canyon in two spectacular tiers. Optional add-ons: Snowmobiling on Langjökull Glacier. Horseback riding through scenic meadows on friendly Icelandic horses. Return to Reykjavík in the evening. Overnight in Reykjavík.

Day 3

Begin your journey along Iceland’s spellbinding South Coast, home to some of the country’s most photogenic natural wonders. Marvel at two iconic waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the curtain of water, and Skógafoss, a thunderous cascade falling from a 60-meter cliff. Continue toward the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, with its striking basalt columns and roaring Atlantic waves. Don’t forget to look out for puffins nesting along the cliffs! Optional activity: Glacier hiking on Sólheimajökull Glacier (suitable for ages 8 and up), guided by trained experts for a hands-on ice experience. Conclude the day as you enter the vast expanse of Vatnajökull National Park, where you will spend the night surrounded by Icelandic wilderness. Overnight near Vatnajökull.

Day 4

Wake up at the edge of the mighty Vatnajökull Glacier, Iceland’s largest ice cap. Your first destination is the enchanting Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where enormous icebergs float in luminous blue waters. Optional: From May to October, enjoy an amphibious boat ride through the lagoon for an up-close view. Just across the road lies the famous Diamond Beach, where broken ice chunks glitter on the black volcanic sands like scattered jewels. As you head back west, enjoy scenic stops selected by your local guide, taking in views of the Westman Islands, Eyjafjallajökull, and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. Return to Reykjavík in the evening. Overnight in Reykjavík.
