Your experience begins with an evening pickup from your hotel in a modern air-conditioned vehicle, followed by a scenic 3-hour drive through the Sinai Desert to St. Catherine. Arriving at the base of the mountain around midnight, you’ll begin your guided climb at 2:00 AM, ascending the ancient trail to reach the summit of Moses Mountain in time for a spectacular sunrise at 7:00 AM.
After descending, enjoy a peaceful visit to the St. Catherine Monastery, one of the oldest working Christian monasteries in the world. Built between 548 and 565 AD, the monastery is located at the foot of Mount Sinai and houses priceless religious manuscripts, ancient icons, and the Chapel of the Burning Bush. It was named after Saint Catherine of Alexandria, a Christian martyr known for her wisdom and bravery.
Following your visit, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, filled with awe and inspiration from this deeply meaningful experience.
